Where are you from? — Totseans

Where are you from?

I'm assuming most will be American but there seems to be a considerable portion from the UK here. Just curious to see if there's much difference between here and the old Totse. It'll also be interesting to see if IRL advertising will have any noticeable effect on the future demographics.

Don't bitch if your country isn't listed on the mainly anglophone poll, because you can either a) get people in your hole of a country to learn English or b) get bombed by the US and Airstrip One and then request an application form.

Sigh... I suspected some wouldn't be too happy about the public aspect, but I think it's nice to know where a user comes from. And shit... if you're American your location has only been narrowed to a group of 300+ million people, 60+ million people if you're a Brit, 100+ million pine trees if you're a Canadian, etc...

UK and Ireland speak English and so we are more likely to have a lot more members from those rather than say - belguim.

Your education must suck too - you can clearly see SoTB started the topic and he has voted UK - what makes you think he was educated in america?

It takes a click to check who voted what. I did not click that click and blindly assumed SOTB was born, raised and educated in the good ol' US of A.

The member-contribution from mainland Europe is negligible, I knew this would be the case before posting the poll. And as the link in my OP indicates, I specifically wished to gain some data on the effect of London advertising. As a consequence it should have been obvious to anyone who made an effort to read the all-of-four-sentences OP as to why I organized the poll's geographical areas the way I did. Yet instead you witlessly assumed I was a geographically ignorant American. You should have iced the cake by accusing me of being mentally lazy.

As the saying goes... ELL OH ELL.

I can understand your dilemma; I got Salam alaikum'd twice a few weeks ago because I'd let my beard grow.

    Welcome to Londonistan.

Forget the boys, my poll brings all the semanticists to the yard.

If, within the context of an internet forum, your internet connection is located in the US, UK or Europe that is where you as an 'e-person' are from. If IRL you were born up a tree in Nigeria well that's fascinating, but I really couldn't care less.

So how does this work if I'm connecting trough a tunneled session / VPN?
