A teenage loner pushes his way into the underworld of a high school crime ring to investigate the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend.
I want to see this shit. Rian Johnson is a great director, and I heard this movie was highly recommended.

    Very good movie.
On Netflix instant for those who have it.
Despite the high school setting, it has a much stronger pseudo-film noir feel to it.
The language, acting, and music were excellent.
Some people may have an issue with what I'd consider excessive use of digital filters.
    That's my only complaint.

For anyone who liked the actor who plays Dode, check out DeadGirl.
He also does a great job with that.
It is a substantially more fucked up movie.
