We should really take better care of those animals.

The punishment for poachers should be significantly higher than the rewards. Thankfully many African countries are discovering the economic advantages of ecotourism.

Are there any kind of monkeys or apes that can talk yet? I'm pretty sure it'll be possible.

Damn that is cool, wonder if he learned it from the zoo keepers or something. Makes me wish evolution weren't so slow. I'd love to see what they can do in thousands/tens of thousands of years.

Also I somehow got to this from that video. :D

No but some can do basic sign language. I think that talking would be difficult as our voice boxes are probably fairly different. But I dont think it would be impossible to create some sort of grunt-esque language that both species could understand.

^ I didn't put voice boxes into account, that's a good point. But I still believe it's fairly possible. Like you said, some kind of rough language that humans and primates could understand.

Most primates do have a language based on grunts and body language. Ape specialists are quite conversant with some apes, and of course there have been a few apes that have learned signing and can communicate basic emotions, needs and some humour.
