People will buy into the leader, then the vision.

EX: sports, good teams are a result of a good leader and good vision. Bad teams result in a bad leader, and/or a good/bad vision. It doesn't matter if the vision is supposed to inspire the team, if the team doesn't buy into the leader, then the vision isn't sought for.


When a team is bad, they don't fire the team...they fire the coach

    Leadership is a complicated thing - in the situation your talking about the goal is already determined, that is winning games and thus the season - theres not a whole lot of creativity to be had in the vision when compared to business leadership or political leadership; both of which permeate far deeper into peoples own lives and have very real implications.
