I too am interested in this. I would have great interest in the gearheads forum.

Been wondering about this too, though I wasn't planning on asking until I have more good posts up (DIY tutorials and whatnot...currently re-writing and making several. Other forums as well)...DIY is the reason I was drawn to totse in the first place. Then again, I trust good things will come to those who contribute the most.
Be knowledgeable and helpful in the forum of your choice and I'm sure Hellish will hook you up with a spot. We need mods in most of the forums at the moment.

I'm working on Gearheads now, It had 0 threads so I'm doing it to it
People, whoever mods this place should keep some points in mind:
A) Community everything, don't compromise it. Treat users like they own this place. They really do.
C) If you're mod you should be contribute more than regular users. I don't care what it takes but you must make more threads and more guides to keep that section running.
I will not take mod positions but I will become an editor and contributor along with other things. Just be honest with Totse people.

This definitely. I would mod a few forums, BLTC, Headshrinkers, Oh the Humanities, and Set the Style. But I always thought that asking to be a mod was the quickest way not to get it.
Can I mod Bad Ideas if there is a vacancy? I have written a few guides over at tM (I know, not the most popular of places) but could migrate them here andkick the shit out of 10 year old kids wanting to blow up the White House with their Momma's kitchen bleach.
Edit - I have mod experience on a few text baed MMORPG games and have to deal with tards/intelligent input on a daily basis. Does that boost up my online CV?
I could easily maintain one, two, or all three of those. I currently handle a section on TRP so I know what's to be expected and I'd be happy to help get us going with articles about books, or experiences I've had. The ideal spot for me would be B&M because I'm very familiar with the problems this community faces, and the complaints that will follow.
I'm submitting my willingness to become a mod in any forum it's needed, though my area of expertise lies around Bad Ideas, Money Money Money, Oral Indulgences, Clean Tech or any of the sciences forums.
I'm off to start getting discussion going in some of those forums.

I hate to nominate myself for things like this but i would enjoy modding Bad Ideas. I believe that I have a fair amount to contribute to the posters and I've always been a BI lurker, ever since the old totse, so i imagine i will be there a lot in order to watch over it. I also wouldn't mind BB or i do tend to enjoy Conspiracies...
I would do BB, unless there is a more qualified volunteer. I fully admit my pyrotechnic chemistry is limited, but I'm not a bad google researcher, and I do actively work on this hobby.
I know a bad idea from a pyro thread, and I'm willing to talk a newb through a process sooner than flame him for inexperience.

Uh... this!
I have no intention of moderator status, I just want to write!

This. It'd be nice to have a mod in BB, already have a thread that should probably be stickied. I'm also pretty active in the pyro world, I'd be glad to help you.

I can agree with all this. Plus I want to write some textfiles for BLTC. We are going to actually contribute to the main site, correct?
I wouldn't mind moderating Half Baked or Spurious Generalities. That's where i spend the most time, make the most threads, and post the most. Actually i rarely ever leave those two sections.
There aren't even enough users to require moderation. Mods are what kills community spirit because people who are mods think they have a bigger dick - and then proceed to swing it in everyones faces.
I propose we have NO MODS.
Ok, ok, we need some. One mod per group section; one for art, one for carnality, one for ego.
There simply isn't enough traffic to have a mod for everything and if we do that, we'll literally have half and half mods/users. Adding a moderator removes a user. Let it run free, the only thing that should be moderated is child porn and page stretching. There should be no 'mods only' forum. No dick swinging. Just one regular poster who can clean up some shit.
There will need to be a lot more threads and members before modship is handed out. The more people the better, the more topics, the more need of mods...etc
That should be a good incentive.

Your thread was pretty good. I stickied it for you.
EDIT: I noticed that even though I am a moderator of BB, my user title still says Acolyte. It's not a big deal and I don't really mind, i was just curious as to if its a bug or if its supposed to stay.

This aint no democracy. This is a dictatorship. Anybody who pisses me off WILL be infracted 3 times and then permabanned.
I will be giving no warnings.
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFULLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *cries*
I get the feeling we just stole the best posters of Zoklet right out from under them.
This.
Or this.

Printed Matter
Sex & Affection

I'll also settle for HB.

Modship of Vogon Poetry and Traveller's Travails would suit me perfectly, being a travelling English teacher, with a lot to contribute to both.
Uh... this!

Half Baked
Bitch and Moan
I Found it on the Web
Those are all forums I think Id be a good mod at.
Seems HTS beat you to it.
I doubt they will only have one moderator for each of those forums.

Heres my resume:
-No previous moderating experience
-High school graduate
-High sometimes (maybe a lot of the time)
