Where to buy N2O canisters?

Ladies and gents, I'm conducting a study on drug users who recreationally abuse nitrous oxide (also known as "laughing gas). The problem is, I don't know where they get their canisters from, or their crackers. I have asked around at various big box stores (Wal-Mart, Target, Party City), but none admit to carrying the things. Besides ordering them online, how would a user obtain these canisters for illicit purposes? Thanks in advance,

    Headshops. In my experience more frequently on college campuses.

    buy? what in gods name would you pay for nitrous for. I'm about to change your life, Fred meyers sells ten (maybe twelve?) packs in the kitchen department. There in a plastic case with a little security sticker on the inside of the plastic but not attacked to the box the cartridges are in. Just bring a knife and cut open however many packs you want and take the boxes out. ahh the found memories of driving fred meyers to fred meyers in between nitrous sessions

    Not even gourmet places, just regular, dedicated kitchen/restaurant supply stores.

    The best deals will be found on ebay. You can buy a cracker on ebay or amazon, too.
