For a movie that inspired, many including me to fall in love with magical world of Tolkien. It is a shame to see no mention of this epic trilogy. For me it is the benchmark for book to movie adaptation.

I started reading the novel when the second movie came out. When the third movie was released, I had read the book one time. It will not surprise anyone if I mentioned that I cried and laughed while reading the book and after reading day and night I couldn't stop reading it. Even though at that time my English FAILED epically, I did understand most of it.
Now, after years of ignorance I decided to read the book again. However, this time will be an Audio Book. LOTR Theatrical Release is out and I just finished watching The Return Of the King. It was around 20 Gig and with DTS-MA [3+mb] and 1080p resolution I couldn't be more happier. I still have 40 GB more to download but man this trilogy is worth every fucking byte.
I haven't seen the extended version but I will buy the Blu-ray disks when the times comes. Right now, I actually don't have resources to buy the Blu ray versions
. In addition, it's a bitch to spilt the movie into DVD's for archiving. I am thinking of downloading the Blu rays but each is around 40+Gb. [FML]
I hope the Hobbit will be awesome, Peter Jackson did a wonderful job with this movie [IMO] and I wish I could be a part of this epic series.
Highly Recommended.
