Diesel is £1.41/l which is about £5.50 a gallon. Old diesels (non super high pressure injected ones) can quite happily run on pure veg oil as long as the weather is not too cold which is 82p per litre...
i think i am at 3.69 unleaded here in utah. its gonna go way up in the summer though because of all the OHV users here. Sucks for you in SoCal also. right now i got a hyundai accent which gets around 38 mpg. better then my dads prius. fuckin prick

In the Greater Cleveland area it is around $3.87/Gal which I think would come out to about $1.04/Liter.
