Ho-ly fuck. Just got a call out of the blue from my ex and she was hysterically crying. Apparently she needs to "get out" of where she is at University as nobody likes her, and she has some things she has to discuss. Proper paranoid rant.
I tried dissuading her from doing the 3hr-ish train journey to mine by asking if she had anyone nearby etc to ask or see. Nope.
In short she is going to be here at 9:15 and even though my current girlfriend is cool with it, I'm a bit weirded out. Don't get me wrong, we are good mates, and my ew and current girlfriend were College mates and I called my girlfriend to ask for her advice and permission and she said yes.

Right around when I graduated high school, I had been talking to a girl that I had had a huge crush on and had been a friend thru the years. She was a couple years older than me, and had gotten strung out on meth and was living in a tweak house. I talked her into getting her shit together, and dragged her out of the house and gave her a place to stay, food, clothes, gas- got her a job with me, etc. My girlfriend originally went along with it- thought it was a nice thing to do for my friend. But within a month, she was making backhanded, sarcastic remarks about it and how I was probably cheating on her. She wanted the girl moved out. I guess it was kind of bizarre having 2 chicks sitting at Valentines Day dinner. Things with this girl started really innocently- going out to eat, smoking weed together, smoking H together, watching movies, etc. Pretty soon she was under the covers with me, and sliding her hand down my boxers playfully. I think I knew what was going down, but she was the girl of my dreams, and I told myself that as long as i wasnt INSIDE this chick, that it wasnt cheating. Anyway eventually it became the focal point of our relationship, and we ended up breaking up because of the girl living with me. At that point all the playful stuff with the girl turned into making out, then finally multiple daily games of who could make the other cum the quickest in various inappropriate public locales. It was fun, and its what I had wanted forever, but in the long grun- even after I got back together with my girlfriend- it set the tone for the next couple years, and everything was just fucked.
tl;dr- Fuck what your gf says. She is NOT going to be cool with this. Just be prepared to get hell for it if you follow thru. And if the chick is gonna stay with you, you might as well push the 3some angle, because its gonna fuck things up with your relationship anyway.
