Follow the basic core and transition to it first. When you're comfortable then slowly work on different movements. You will require some time to get used to it but in any case it's still hard work. It's like eating with left hand and then suddenly forced to use the right hand.

Just go with it. You'll have some "bad habits" from TKD but just recognize them and correct them when you see them; do this consistently and you'll reprogram your nervous system to phase them out and replace them with your current cirriculum.
