I'd like to grow up and be happy/er.

Job wise however something either working within the field of Psychology/Anthropology performing research/experiments or teaching Psychology at a University level.

My dream job would involve recieving a degree in Cognitive Science and working with AI but I'm still young and fickle so who knows :)

To be honest up until 14 years old, I wanted to be a doctor. Then after that, I thought that because I liked physics so much I wanted to be a nuclear physicist. However, as my Internet name portrays (GoingNowhere), I did not do very well at physics at A-levels. Thus I turned what was my hobby at the time (music) into what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So at this current moment in time (20 years old), I wish to be a musician.

As a kid I had no idea, I looked into the armed forces and tried the cadets but being shouted at for having a slight scuff on my shoes really put me off it.
My dad wanted me to be a sparky, like him and his dad, but just to piss him off I didn't.
I looked into going to a film school but didn't want a massive debt at the end.

I now work in a food factory, not everybodys cup of tea but I enjoy it.
Decent pay (£26k a year), good breaks, a chance to go further in it and get promoted, good pension and health plans, unless the whole company goes bankrupt its a job for life.

The downside is that its 12 hour shifts, and half are nights, with some weekends being worked. But my days off are 4-5 days so I can take 4 days holiday and be away for 14.

    Dunno if my thing counts.
    Full time guitar builder/tech.
Been doing it for 6 years already.
Love doing it, and it can support me when business is good.
However, it's not so much lately.
It's not just me. All the other techs in Omaha are feeling it.
Been forced to apply out of state for positions.
Spent 2 hours last night doing aptitude testing for Gibson.
    Nashville, here I (might) come...

Right now I think I'm probably going to be a welder, possible something in computers if that doesn't work out. I know this will never happen but I'd really like to be a musician. That would be great.

To rise the social strata in leaps and bounds through strategic spousal selection. I want to have a pool, a trampoline, and a garden large enough to picnic - and have it be fun & adventurous - without interference from other people.

I want to start my own secluded community out in the wilderness that works entirely independently of modern society. This is not to say we won't have modern technology- electricity and the like will be provided via solar panels, and I intend for the houses to be built mostly underground.

I want to be an engineer, but as I've discovered in the last year, the schooling is expensive as fuck and I'm not sure that I have sufficient funding or motivation to finish my degree.

I may end up switching to something with a smaller time/financial commitment, then taking business courses on the side while I'm working full time. This would enable me to start up a company 5-10 years down the road and invest my time into building and managing an independent operation. I strongly detest 9-5 work and want to minimize the fraction of my life wasted doing that. Unfortunately, some amount is probably required in order to provide the initial funding for any business idea I can conceive.

Fuck, I wish I'd have figured all of this out by the time I graduated high school 2 years ago.:(

Im already kinda grown up and working in carbon trading.

I want to get a job as a metal fabricator or shot-firer in the mines.

Or possibly a meterologist at one of the indonesian mine sites - you're living next to pristine rainforest (AND STRIP MINING IT LOL) but its easy work, great money and you can bring a surfboard over.

Smoking and drinking are the two best things you can think of about Hunter Thompson?

Jesus Christ and I thought I was a philistine.

Fuck if I know. I'm 21 now and just finnishing university and I have no idea where to take my life; but at the same time i dont feel its neccessary to jump on something and dedicate my life to it (although I'd be lying if I said that uncertainty didnt make me a little anxious). I feel like theres alot of pressure on young people to have to find what they want to be in life and commit to it immediately (almost everyone I know wants me to go to grad school or do whatever) but I feel like I just need to take a year or two and just work a little menial job and live without having to study or worry about all these things intruding on my life and just live simply and do what I want; there's no reason I can't go back to school or start a whole new path later.
