Hi there from England.

Just wandered in off the street so to speak. I just joined totse2.com and saw some links to here. I read a post by DFG which impressed me. Being older than most posters, I was attracted by the promise of adult stimulating conversation. So here I am.

Be gentle with me, I'm somewhat of a noob at forums.

I like to think of it as more of a heads-up :D Just making sure, we've just dealt with some e-drama, we'd prefer not have more.

No worries on that score from this direction my friend. I assumed from what I read on totse2.com that was the reason.

I suppose as this is my introduction thread I should maybe tell you a little about me.

I'm 51, male, married twice. I have a degree in physics. I'm called Chippy, because that's what I am, a Chippy.
Anyone from the UK would recognise that as a nickname for a joiner, or carpenter as you call them in the US.

Just reach 25 and show that you have potential. I will upgrade your rank on the fly. Plus, if you're good with writing something or want to share stories or talk about Physics or something that interests you, we have a fully working Content management system at your service.

Again, it's great to have people how have lived some life on totse.

I'm not particularly verbose, But I have a wealth of experience on many subjects. I'll get around to sharing when I've found my way around a bit.
I'm open to any questions on DIY having spent a lot of years in the building trade. And I also spent 13 years as a cobbler, (shoe repairer) and saddler. So any questions on footware or leather, I'm your man. I also spent quite a few years in the leisure industry as an audio engineer.

That's a deal. I'm free every alternate weekend as my daughter stops with her mother every other weekend.
Saying that, she just left for Australia for 3 weeks with her mother, so just say where and when dude.

Anyone else in the area up for a mini meet?

    This is a Stewart Rose.

Ahhhh the tudor rose was the amalgamation of the York rose and the Lancashire rose.

I really like you, Chippy. my Grandpa was a lifelong carpenter in West London and a top craftsman. I'm surprised at just how skilled some people aren't in this world, but those who are put it to good use.

Nice to see you're contributing as well. I hope you enjoy your stay here, as I know I will.
