Major Reform is in Order

Hopefully today, all the sections would disappear and we would only have 6-8 big sections.

Sections:
General Lounge
Entertainment Central (music, movies,web links, games)
Skills (Arts,Literature, DIY, anything that involves learning)
Politics, Conspiracy, News
Technologist & Hacktivists (Tech, Hacks, Security, Networks)
Explorers (Urban, Travel)
Totseans Life (Health, lifestyle improvement, money, work related, positive feedback)
Crime Watch
Rehab

    What will happen to the Totseans Kingdom section?. Will that remain restricted to regulars or done away with?. Personally I would like it to remain even if it is hidden for all but a select group of us or made invite only if that can be done.

    Will those sections have subsections? A while back I would have objected, but I do think it's better if the forum does get smaller and more concentrated as there are a few sections where the last thread has been made months back. I think it would improve the overall appearance :)

    Totseans Kingdom is pretty cool, I agree with Dak :P

    Will those big sections have subsections so it's still nice and ordered? Just worried about stuff being lumped into one you see :)

    Well, everything would be lumped in together for now. Because it makes it a lot simpler. Trust me I went through this and it's a bitch just to move things. Now, we can add sub-forums and organize stuff. But honestly with reduced sections and open descriptions and prefixes, it can be a lot easier to manage.

    Plus it looks really clean now.

    Bigger sections and less subsections could mean for more users getting to know one another, like I never knew people who regularly posted in subforums on the original &T as I was mostly SG, IFIOTW etc, not Backyard Ballistics and the like.

    ^^ Very good point.

    One thing we do need to do is prune many of the stickies as there is quite a lot of them now because of the combined sections. I could do that if you wish. :)

    I'm just going through the new forum names and descriptions. Dfg must have had a few too many shishas last night because he made some spelling/grammatical errors :D

    do you guys think we should move the chat box to the bottom of the main page, it takes up too much screen room.

    also perhaps we should get rid of that stats widget at the bottom. its next to useless.

    I've always been a minimalist when it comes to these things.

    My personal preference is up top, people may not use it as much if it's down the bottom hidden away :)
