After banging my head left and right and trying to fucking get my hands on two models, Acer 5755G and Dell XPS L502x, I have decided to take the high road and just go with HP.
This is the model:
http://www.mega.pk/laptop_products/6477/HP-Pavilion-Dv6-7046TX.html
It's in between Dell and Acer and it beats both of their asses in performance. Plus, it's 3rd Gen and it has a faster processor and it has a fucking GPU and it I CAN FUCKING BUY IT EASILY without having to fucking beg for people to find those two laptops. When it comes to new configurations, HP wins hands down. I might regret it later on but it's much better than trying to buy expensive outdated Laptops. Seriously Acer 5755G is outdated and Dell XPS 15 line is getting revamped. I would be a fucking idiot to buy into that crap and see some guy with an HP durking around with a powerful system.
So, yeah. There are two models 3630QM and 3610QM, I am going with the 3630QM because in terms of performance it matches my Desktop processor!

Again, the plus points of HP configuration outweigh Dell and Acer builds. It's decided, once I have the money I will just buy it and get over with it.
Comments
The way I see it: If it does what you intend it to do, its all good.
I can't believe i juts said 4gb ram is on "the low end"...My first computer had 128mb of ram.. :(
Yep, I agree on the price point. Just to give you an idea:
5755G Acer 87,000RS
Dell XPS L502x 106,000+ Rs
HP DV6 7042TX 97~99,000 Rs
Now that DV6 uses a 3rd Generation processor 3630QM which is second when compared to 3720WM (which is around 147+K) is amazing. It's a fucking beast of a processor, literally takes a dump on 2760QM.
Also, the GPU in all these models are the same but HP takes the lead in connectivity and looks and most important of all, AVAILABILITY!
I got 16 GB of Ram and I hear you bro, the RAM will get upgraded to 8GB at least. Also, I think I can use 8GB sticks in there to reach 16GB because the chipset supports it.
But again, considering the other choices I do agree with myself here. Why pay the same amount of money to buy an outdated piece of hardware when I can buy something which is cheaper, faster and newer.
Now will you come back to linux Slartibarfast?
made me lol..:hai:
I still see 4 GB as an exorbitant amount of memory, but my first computer had 64k of ram.

Might be fun to screw around with.
I want one, I want one, I Want One, I WANT ONE NOAW!
12week b/o
I wonder if they'll flag the b/o if I gave myself a name like gibberteech & classified myself as a nigga living in a third world country?
They're nice little things, meant for kids - but it's only been picked up by people like me.
Because in reality the raspberry is more in my price range.
hahha, it is indeed.
Funny thing, I can't actually buy rasperry pi. It's not available here.
You poor bugger.
Plus bodhi have a dedicated forum for the raspberrypi ---> http://forums.bodhilinux.com/index.php?/forum/30-raspberry-pi/
Keeping on thread: I would put bodhilinux on your laptop as well Df bro.
