  I'll start with these two. I have a ton more I can post though.
  
  Confessions Of A Master Jewel Thief. If anybody has any more true books from the perspective of the criminal such as this I'd love to read them.

  "Bill Mason had me in his book's prologue, in which he describes at length how he stole a fortune in jewelry from Armand Hammer's Fort Lauderdale apartment. The job entailed a harrowing walk--in the dark, during a storm--along the slippery ledge that skirted Hammer's building, 18 inches wide and 15 stories up. This particular heist is just one of many carefully planned, often extremely dangerous, and highly lucrative robberies that Mason details in his autobiography, Confessions of a Master Jewel Thief, which was first published in 2003 (and was co-written with Lee Gruenfeld). For much of his life Mason was a sort of gentleman thief, who pocketed the jewelry flaunted by the rich and famous--the list of his victims reads like a passenger manifest from the Love Boat--and who never carried a weapon or took part in violent crimes. Mason lays bare his criminal record in Confessions (the statute of limitations has run out on all his crimes), but he also discusses the uglier side of his lifestyle, the effect that his avocation (he never really needed the money) had on his family.
  
  Simply put, this is one of the most interesting books I've ever read. Mason's discussions of his various scores are riveting, inherently dramatic and very well told:
  
  "I'd envisioned the whole trip with my back to the wall, but after about ten feet of futilely wiping rain from my eyes and imagining my feet sliding out from under me in a heel-to-toe direction, I turned around and hugged the wall instead. I wiggled my feet slightly with each step, feeling for any changes in traction, and the way my shoes were sliding on that slick surface started up a sickening feeling in my belly."
  
  The details he provides about the logistics of his criminal undertakings are also fascinating. He writes about picking locks, for example, and "prospecting" for leads and negotiating with fences. And I love the book's prose style, which is straightforward and lucid.
  
  One of course has qualms about what Mason did, not only to his victims but even more so to his family. But the author has qualms too. His book is a thoughtful, very honest consideration of the life he's led, and clearly the product of a great deal of painful introspection. Nor does Mason make any excuses for his actions: he's one of the bad guys, and he says as much. But he could have been worse. "

  
  Arrest-Proof Yourself
  

  Carson has been both a cop and a criminal defense attorney. Here, he puts his years of experience into a "how-not-to" book. He feels that most people who get arrested aren't the worst criminals; they are just the most "clueless"—small-time offenders who make bad decisions and end up in what he calls the "electronic plantation." Now that computers make it ever so easy to track people, getting arrested, even if you're not ultimately convicted, can and will come back to haunt you. Carson has three golden rules: "If cops can't see you, they can't arrest you," "Keep your dope at home," and "Give cops your name and basic info, then shut the f*@# up!" While the book read straight through may seem a little repetitive, it ultimately does come back to one of these three rules, which are imparted with examples and behavior charts. Carson uses a blunt style to make these points, but it's a style that is sure to hit home with his target audience—the underclass. And he does make it plain that while there are many middle-class and white-collar criminals, the police tend to focus their patrols in bad neighborhoods. Those most likely to be in situations where they or those they know might get arrested will get the most out of this book, but even readers in more lofty areas with an interest in law enforcement could find much to discuss

  please be considerate. Please refrain from posting pdf files contained in sites like media fire, download.com and such where free stuffs don't get downloaded for free, at least not conveniently .... try your best to post site that actually have free, worthy pdf files for download.

  Please take the time to consider the amount of time and effort it took to personally collect and upload those pdf files, only to be criticized!!! Take a little time to do some work yourself before you go giving me pointers. Also, that link from uplaoding.com came directly from google. O, Hypocrisy ... Secondly, many of these files are either difficult to access as is or are in collections so large it would be more efficient to download it all than to go through all that effort to select individual files.

  It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that I didn't have an internet connection and I'm using free wifi that happens to come thru my walls. The down side to this tho .... is that I have to left my laptop in an awkward position so it's really inconvenient to sit there for a long time googling.
  
  And btw ... I'm not criticizing nor am I trying to belittle your effort here, it's just that those sites always try to fuck me either telling me that i've exceeded my download limit .... or are asking to wait for like minutes ....
  
  which ... eventually I gave up trying to download anything from these sites unless it's the only available source.
  
  Now that we've this site, maybe we can upload them here and host them ....

  I like the second option and will look into it but the first is what I've been wanting since the idea of this thread. I'm not sure if there is enough space on this server. I think I'll PM Hellish about that soon. Also please pardon me getting all butthurt. Thank you.

  I scanned a good number of books for that site and got banned for saying their rules were stupid, so I'll be sure to include some of their "exclusives" in the collection.

  I was contemplating the blog idea last night. Fortunately, I have all the links saved in a text file, so when they go down I can rename them, reupload them and plug them into the url spot of the hypertext.
  
  It will be an exhaustive process and I need to find time for it as I'm basically uploading part of a personal library.
