Off'd to War

They send us off to war, but they don't want to fight
They send us off to war, and they think they're right
So who is the real enemy here?
Shadowless faces that refuse to hear
The cries of the dying,
The cries of the brave
The cries of the wounded, that God could not save

They send us off to war, men that dwell in the night
They send us off to war, bureaucrats that know what's right
We're soldiers of labor and soldiers of pain
In countries that have no reason to be saved
But the cries of the dying,
The cries of the brave
The cries of the damned, that God could not save

They send us off the war, medals shining bright
They send us off to war, faces red and pale white
When we come home and the job is all done
Their countries are raped but the war has been won
They reward us not to be strong or be brave
Only when we're already dead in the grave
And the cries of the dying
And the cries of the brave
All go unheard, by a God enslaved.
