Driving high has no negative effects for me. If anything, I drive better........

You really drive better? Or do you THINK you're driving better cos you're high? xD

I end up driving high a lot, and I've noticed that I drive slower and much more cautiously when I'm high. I just innately think about my driving more when I'm high. I also haven't noticed any real impact on reaction time or decision making when high either, I drive through bumfuck-nowhere roads and have to dodge/not hit large mammals all the time. So I guess I can say yeah, I do drive "better" when I'm high.

I drive a lot when I'm high especially at work. I think I'm a lot more alert when I'm driving high because I'm so paranoid about anything happening and getting caught with anything. I drive slower and my reaction time is always a lot faster from the anticipation.

    Simply put I don't

Do my shit at home and my bar is a five minute walk from me

Really no excuse for driving under the influence

I draw the line at hallucinogens and gaba-acting drugs though. I have drove on mushrooms before ( I had to, family shit) but there was some serious impairment and I wont be doing it again. Im prescribed xanax and drive fine on my prescribed dose, but if I take enough to effect my driving I wont. Same with other benzos and alcohol, I just don't drive on them unless it's a threshold-ish dose.

As far as I'm concerned, stimulants greatly improve my reaction time/ attentiveness but make me want to drive faster and more aggressively, driving on them is no sweat. Opiates/opioids also don't have much of an effect on my driving. If anything I compensate for the minor impairment by going a little slower. Unless I'm seriously nodding the fuck out I have no problems driving when low.

The only reason I ever do is because I get high a lot, and if I'm called away for something and I'm high, I still have to go. I'll usually have a redbull or something caffeinated just to be a little more alert, but I haven't ever caused an accident or done dangerous shit on the road while high.

I can drive fine while high. I don't drive slow or anything but I can still manage to think and react and haven't ever had a trouble while driving stoned. Except for when I see something hilarious and then I start laughing too much. That happens.

I drive drunk frequently (I have no standard to base this on, but I think I drive drunk too much so I'm saying "frequently") and should probably stop, but fuck it.

I drive better drunk than you do sober

I guess you could say that whenever I get high I'm more perceptive of my environment.

I don't see anything wrong with driving as long as you are sure you can handle it. I've driven drunk a few times (not completely fucked, but I would fail a breathalyzer for sure), high all the time (I smoke at night while driving through neighborhoods lol), and I've even driven on acid once.

I've got into a total of 1 accident since I started driving, owned 2 cars now, and I wasn't under the influence of any drugs (unless you call the ones in your brain drugs) Oh, and I've gotten a bunch of close calls where my car would have been fucked up if I was like couple feet farther than where I was, like pulling out of a gas station and not seeing a car but not hitting it some how as it's speeding right in front of you.

You have to suck at driving to not be able to drive high.

You can't get away with it if you're afraid. That's why they put such a high bounty out on psychedelic drug and weed dealers.

I'm scared of fatigue more so then intoxicants. I've had micro-sleeps on motorways and it got a little fucked.

As for driving high; I was on my learners permit for 12months, took a fair number of driving lessons (with instructor) and have driven daily for the past 12months. Excluding my actual driving exam; I'd guess 3/4+ of that time I have ever spent driving a vehicle has been done under the influence of marijuana. I'm pretty convinced it doesn't impair driving ability.

I've driven drunk a few times and In retrospect I really do regret doing it every single time. I think fatigue and alcohol should be seriously considered when deciding whether or not to drive.

edit: notice some1 mentioned stimulants/depressents. I've driven on high doses of xannax and will never do it again, whereas amphets seem fine.

I'm really starting to hate driving when on opiates. Besides the obvious (nodding at the wheel), even when I'm not at the nodding stage, My vision gets all fucked up and its hard as hell to focus. its sorta like double vision, i dunno my eyes merge together or some shit. i DUNT LIKE IT.

I think some people can manage it, and a lot of people THINK they can manage it. The problem is when people think they can handle it and can't actually. Then the ability to make good decisions is impaired. Though many seem to be able to drive high. More than, people can drunk I've noticed.

I drive while high all the time. I think it makes me a better driver for the same reasons as others have stated. I drive slower than normal and I'm 100x more cautious. I drove for the first time on shrooms last night and I probably won't do it again. I wasn't peaking but I was starting to come up and the oncoming cars headlights left some crazy tracers that I seemed to pay attention to more than driving. Surprisingly I wasn't swerving or anything, atleast that what the sober person with me said. All I got to say is mother fuckers need to learn to drive a manual so I don't have to drive when I'm fucking tripping.

Get an automatic so that you don't need to worry about whether others can/will accommodate you.

I absolutely hate driving while on drugs, but sometimes you don't really have a choice. Driving high ain't shit, I think it's probably easier than driving sober. But driving on shrooms, that's fucked. Only did that once and it was an emergency, but fuck it was scary.

I remember when I was younger I just absolutely LOVED drinking and driving. When I got drunk, I'd try to round up as many people as possible that wanted to eat or go some arbitrary place and offer to be the driver. I enjoyed it so much, I made fucking playlists for when I was driving drunk.

I used to like to drink and drive. I also liked to smoke a bowl or 4 of MJ and then drive down the road swerving back and forth across all lanes, and drive on the wrong side of the road. Now, I'm an uptight POS that cares about nothing but work, and being sober so I can do my job properly. Oh well, I've had my fun, but maybe I'll blast off again one day...

I used to drive high all the time. in high school i would smoke a joint on the way there. that was no big deal i actually drove better when i smoked because when i was younger i was an asshole driver. I also used to drink and drive like a champ, not a good idea, but i was so paranoid when i was drunk that it would work.

now i try not to drink and drive but it still happens some times. i'll get drunk and have these urges to go to the casino and i'll pick up my friends. one time i was so drunk on the way to the casino that my friend made me pull over so he could drive since he thought i was going to crash

long story short don't drink and drive

When I was in high school and living with my parents, and then later when I lived in a dorm, we would just drive around and smoke weed all the time. It doesn't even affect my driving performance much.

I drive drunk too much, I tried to drive on benzos once and that ended with $1000 in car repairs, and I drove across my college's campus on acid once and that was just too much. When I got out of the car I literally jumped around in excitement because I didn't have to drive anymore.
