Worlds smallest gun

Can anyone tell me what the purpose is for something like this? I've read before that spys used to sometimes carry guns this small but I cant see something like that being lethal in most cases. I mean a .22 is survivable let alone something as tiny as this. So does anyone know any actual purpose for this besides pissing someone off when you shoot them with it?

How about that small desktop machine gun? It may have been modeled after the browning 1919? But I forget, I even forget who made it or what cartridge it fired. Either a .22lr or something proprietary.
