    10$ CAD = £6.47

    $7.25 USD in MN = £4.52

    $12.75 NZD per hour = £6.09

    $8.25/hr Illinois = £5.15

    $8.25/hr in Connecticut = £5.15

UK = £6.08 British pounds sterling per hour

I did work for minimum wage a few years ago to see what it was like incase I wanted to become a writer. It was not so much the wage that I hated, but the jobs. Allways jobs where they wanted to recruit people to do one thing like a robot.

No wonder people suicide when they have shitty jobs. They are boring.

In the UK minimum wage is £5.93 ($9.67) an hour, before they take off tax and National Insurance Contributions, which are to pay for people on Welfare, like 1.2 million pound mansion's for immigrant families and giving free sex changes to people who want them. :(

Around $72 per month if you work in the Government. It's far less if you work in the private. But it's usually <1-2$ per hr.

Increase in petrol traffic, increase in rolling blackouts. It's 4:51 AM and in 15 mins I wil be going out to excerise. I can't work in day time because I don't get a steady power supply, in short after four hours my electricity goes out for an hour and I have to work at night just to get some 6+ hours of steady power.

Long story short, I AM FUCKED.

    $8.00/hr California, USA

Had to look it up, as I've never worked for min wage before.

Found this CA website link interesting though.

    CA Minimum Wage History.

Shows the history of minimum wage since it has started.$0.16 in 1916.

Also this thread should be moved to "Money, Money, Money"

$8 in BC. Will be raised to $10.25 by May 2012. Too bad non-minimum wage won't increase the same, so I'll be relatively poorer and then actually poorer once the price of everything goes up

Well.... inflation would occur anyways right? So it'll help you if somehow you get royally screwed at work or sumthin..

Yeh that's what I'm saying. Prices inflate, helped along by the increase in minimum wage, while my wage won't go up because it's not minimum

Unless you mean it in another way :o

Nah.... It's just inflation's bound to happen.... So maybe find a way to extort your bosses to get a raise?
A raise would be nice, I'm sure.

    $7.25 for basic jobs.
$2.13 for servers (bartenders, waiters, etc).

Luckily for me, only three shifts a month fall under the server category, but i still end up making $10+/hr with tips.
