Producing an O2 emitting insert?

Is there some sort of reaction one can produce to turn a couple different chems into O2 and a solid byproduct? The goal is to have an o2 emitting lump of stuff to keep an area oxygenated. Will hydrogen peroxide work? It will redox into h2O and o2, right?
