Zack Snyder film. What do you think of this? I personally find it epic. Hot girls, swords, fights, dragons and a clusterfuck of god knows what? It's gotta be good.
Went and saw this movie last night. Honestly... I was kinda let down. Costume design was good. Soundtrack was amazing. Movie itself... ehh... Had some good scenes that I enjoyed but overall... It was weird. If you watch it throw out any hope of attempting to pay attention to a story line and just watch it for what it is scene for scene and you shall enjoy it.

Format=Personally, I loved it. There are a few short lines that you HAVE to catch to make full sense of the storytelling style.
Like Traum said, music was pretty sweet, and the action scenes were pretty solid. I'm not huge on female protagonist action movies, but seriously. Slutty looking chicks and explosions. Need I say more?
Yeah, I imagined the plot being pretty fucking lacking. Though the previews paint a pretty awesome Art Direction and Production Design. I'm pretty sure I can wait till it's on DVD or Netflix rather than drop $9 for some overdone eye candy...
Just watched it. Piece of shit film that is full of unrealism and Feminist undertones. A 30ft tall Samurai with a minigun vs a 6ft female with a pistol? Right. On top of that, every person who ever opposes the female actors are men, and they die in a multitude of ways. it's just an advert for history as seen by women. Feminist, angry women who feel the need to recorrect the past and make it into a shit film.
So glad I didn't pay to watch it. The WW1 scene made me rage hard. Walking towards a machine gun and manned by steampunk-type Germans was annoying as fuck. The soundtrack didn['t even fit it - shitty female covers of Depeche Mode, the Smiths and an awful remake of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" sung by a girl that may as well have been nodding on smack.
Maybe it's because I'm a History student, but it was a kick to the balls, made only worse by the feminist mentality.
Then you realise it's only due to the puppy-eye look and blonde hair combined with a few panty shots during the action scenes then it gets boring and repetitive. On top of that comes the predictable "ass whooping" of the next person with a penis that enters the room.

Well, I enjoyed it, especially the fights and the extensive CGI. I didn't give a fuck about the story but apparently it wasn't bad. I enjoyed the story a story and the amazing visuals from time to time, I do however thing that the OST didn't work well but it's a movie intended to showcase different agendas so if you're looking for some hidden messages you will see some talk about this and that. But when taken from an entertainment perspective, this movie doesn't disappointment, I am sure you will have to skip few scenes but in the end it's all in good fun.
Watching this movie in HD with a 5.1/7.1 system is a must. The firing shots and action bits are very well defined. I had my headphone (7.1) on overdrive and my ears hurt from excessive listening (I blame the long skype chats for this) but anyway, I recommend this just for the fuck of watching a movie with action, girls and CGI. Just don't focus on the background noise and abuse and just enjoy the movie. It's fiction anyway.
I should mention the wardrobe was stunning throughout the movie and there were scenes which tingled my boner. This has sexism written all over it and I don't mind it one bit. Some tits would have been nice.
