So I'm trying to get FF7 to play on my computer but I can't get the fucking emulator to work. I downloaded all three FF7 disks from Demonoid and they came as .bin files. Whenever I try running them on ePSXe I get an error message saying "could not load gpu.dat" or some bullshit like that. Now, I've downloaded a few different emulators from Demonoid that claim to have ALL the bios files, etc etc but none of them will work. Please halp.

Then this download.

Extract the second download into the plugins folder in the ePSXe folder.

That's how I got mine working. And of course, on your first run in PSX config->bios->then select a bios.

I think I was forgetting the whole Bios selection when I used to try it all out. I was young and therefore noobish.

Haha, I made a PSX emulation guide and posted it on this board. Might've wanted to try that, but then again, how where you to know it existed?

I dl'd the ff7 computer version and it was utter fail. It wouldn't load disc 2. So, I stole my brother's ps1 and ff7 disc and played the real thing.

FF7 is a massive bag of shit on the PC. It has MIDI files instead of CDA music and shitty pixellated backgrounds. It's worth taking the time to download ePSXe and spent 10 mins learning how it works to play it as it should be played.
