I just mixed some PbNO3 + KI for fun, and I spilled it. Now there's a big yellow spot on the carpet. :facepalm:

ive always wanted to mix the solutions in gelatin to get a cool solid effect on the precipitate

got a laugh out of the first post.
If you mix AgNO3, which is free from any water, and dissolved in benzene, with iodine, you will get silver iodide and dioidine pentoxide, I2O5 !
