A lot of carriers also have a webpage where you can send texts for free. Pretty much the same as what's posted here, except you don't have to use your email. Remember to type your name at the end of it so the recipient knows who's sent the message.
This is amazing. I need this to stalk[ talk ] ahem to people. We should have a sifferent dedicated thread for mobile phone numbers of hot chicks to fuck with.
You can use this guide to flood people's inboxes with so many texts that their phone just wont operate anymore. All you'll need is an email bomber, which I have posted here...
The problem with this is that as people learn that they can get a expensive text message delivered for free that telco's will lose out on this scam and bump up the prices of everything else to recover their losses.

When they reply it just shows up as an e-mail. I'd recommend removing any signatures you have on your e-mail because they take up a huge amount of space.
Most people pay per text in and text out. So if I send a text it costs me 10 cents and it cost the recipient 10 cents. I have unlimited texts so it really doesn't matter.
I use this feature a lot. I'll be at lunch and get a call from a driver. I'll send myself a text to my work e-mail with the times or other information so I don't have to try to remember it. I'll also e-mail my phone an address for where I'm going to be headed so I don't have to write it down. I don't have a smart phone but an LG Dare
I picture message pictures from my phone to my e-mail all the time: [email protected] It's free as long as you have the picture messaging service.

Seriously though, use that PHP script. It works great, although it's not anonymous at all so I wouldn't recommend raiding with it.
What happens if they reply? Just goes to email?
