I got this idea while DaSkipper was fooling around with some links. The aim of this thread is to educate and help newbies in identifying what links to avoid clicking.
But before that a simple warning:
Links posted in this thread are unsafe and if you're not careful enough they will cause your browser to crash or worse. Now the next part:
- You should have Firefox 3+, Chrome, Opera, IE 8+ installed. And it's best if you keep them updated.
- Next, have a decent Anti-virus. I recommend Avast 5.0 or Eset Smart Security.
- The last, don't run any browser in Admin mode. Meaning run the browser normally, do not use the Run as an Administrator option.
- Having a decent firewall is REQUIRED.
You're on your own at this point. Click at your own risk.http://incorrect.on.nimp.org/http://halflife2.zoy.org/http://sourmath.comhttp://howto.thetunafish.com/?p=21
Just post in this thread and include some shock sites and links that can cause your browse to crash. Flag them if possible. Like this link is to a phishing site, this link is a shock site, this link is a malware.
In a way we will have a nice compilation of links and at the same time you can check if your security suite actually works.
Some Guidelines
- As a rule of thumb, never trust a link which is shortened by tinyurl or any other site. Always use the preview link mode in tinyurl and confirm the source before clicking when it comes to other url links.
- Use common sense, if you think the link looks odd or doesn't feel right. Hold everything and do a google search. Google is your best option when it comes to checking links.
- Use Noscript + Ad block plus. Trust me these simple add-ons are a life saver when it comes to threats from websites.
- An AV with a web shield such as Avast can easily take care of Malware links but that doesn't mean it will handle everything.
- An Internet security suite offers complete protection but it's limited to what it can detect. So, again use common sense.
- Whenever someone posts a link on Totse, look at the user and only click if you know that user won't do something. Expect the unexpected btw, some users can be assholes.

I love how you said use common sense but you clicked it when I posted.
Blame HTS and also I knew I was protected by Noscrpt + Avast . It was a calculated risk and I pretty much know about .nimp.org links .
DO NOT CLICK ON THESE LINKS!

Mind explaining what this does exactly? I'll be downloading this when I get home
... skunk.amkon? It should work on ANY browser.
I've disabled the backdooring.
This is all on Xubuntu linux, AFTER I allowed my noscript to run everything on the page.
Awesome. I expected the Fork Bomb to work, just not the rest of it. Good job though man, good job.
Noscript would have really helped if this was an IRL situation. Nothing ran until I allowed it to.
