Yes, you can do what you want, but dressing slutty also causes certain people to 'do what they want' as well. Don't complain about being raped if you choose to dress like a whore.
As a lesbian, I'm all for girls dressing slutty, but complaining about these kinds of things is just bitchy.
The cop does have a point.
The left wing, which includes feminists, despise the concept of personal responsibility as from their view it is the fault of traditional social values that a person becomes a victim. Which is why when a cop gives fairly obvious and practical advice to women, i.e. does his job to help prevent crime, he is condemned for his traditional, in this case 'misogynistic', social attitude irrespective of its actual merit.
And so, as Mayberry points out, the butthurt flows because a nerve has been struck.
It's fucking true, especially with children < 18. That protest just proves women are inferior and have smaller brains than even the hillbillies in Alabama.

I think that argument (That women get raped because of how they dress) is silly.
Women get raped all around the world, even in places where they cover up, and rape still existed when women wore only dresses. I see people dressing like prostitutes all of the time, and I never have the urge to rape someone.
Even if I had such urges, I get that people in society are expected to have self control. It doesn't matter if she gave you a boner with her revealing clothing, you're still at fault if you go on to rape her.
