I just went into GPP, and noticed that half of the threads on the first page are the VBookie threads. I understand this willbe happening every week? For this reason, I reckon it should have its own sub forum.
Burn that is actually a good idea as far as the subforum goes. Maturbatron you need to get over your desire to stir up shit. Otherwise you will be banned. This is the last time I am going to tell you.
^If it is a good idea we would be foolish not to implement it. Good members with good ideas will attract more good members with more good ideas only making the community bigger and stronger.
Yeah, I like this idea and I was going to suggest it the other night but never got around to it. I think I told RemadE about it, but that's as far as I got Good call guys.
TDR asked me regarding this and as he was talking about it, I went ahead and implemented the idea. I am not deaf to my fellow community members, I am just not going to focus on people who don't share the best interest for this community. hell, if you want anything implemented and it's something that everyone will benefit from, it gets implemented instantly.
Trx100 if we do that then can I ask that the stuff posted in Set the Style not show up in new posts as nothing about fashion is of the slightest interest to me?
I think that the primary issue with the vbookie posts being shown in "What's New?" is not that others arent interested but that they come in massive floods which isn't a good thing. While members can very easily find t threads they are looking for by going to thise specific forums, and I agree they shouldn't be lazy and just rely on "What's New?", guests and new members will click "What's New?" to see what we've all been talking about lately and while these are the newest threads it doesn't accurately reflect what the community is all about. Just like there are some of us who have no interest in drugs or porn there are some of us who have no interest in sports. This being said it is very rare that when clicking "What's New?" You find a page full of nothing but threads about drugs or fashion or porn or any one specific topic. That is until vbookie was added. It was always a pretty little variety of topics to be discussed.
I want to make It perfectly clear that I don't disapprove of the existence of vbookie. I think it is a great idea and a fun way to interact with the community. However I've never been a fan of any type of flooding which this very clearly is.
MissingMuse flooding is the repetitive posting of the same text or image not 42 posts on the same general area of discussion. If one were to take the point of view that such was flooding would we call 42 posts in N&P on 14 different news stories flooding? It happens one time per week. For about 3 - 6 hours those threads show up in what's new until other posts push them down. I can easily make 50 threads per day on news events and "flood" the board. Would we then ask that N&P threads not show up in what's new and call it flooding?
I would just like to add that if someone goes into vbookie you can see all the threads open for betting ... And vbookie threads on sport have no real discussible content... So idk it would just make things smoother IMO
Saying that the VBookie threads have no discussable content is saying you don't have interest in discussing the NFL. If we set that precedent then anytime anyone does not like a particular area of discussion will point to this and say, "When others did not like the NFL threads they were removed from what's new. So I am asking in that same vein that N&P threads not show up in what's new as I have no interest in reading about news or politics".
They show up for about 3 - 6 hours on Tuesday. That is it. If you don't have interest in them don't click on them. What is so hard about that?

Too bad you and I both will probably get banned for this.

Awesome!!
For anyone who says that this site's admin doesn't listen to its users, here's a prime example to prove you wrong.

EDIT: It doesn't work.
Honestly, you see those threads for couple of hours only anyway.
