Downloading now. Just from a first glimpse of the download page, I'm so glad they've slashed the space required by the toolbars. There's absolutely no need for file, etc in this day and age.

I hope the rest is as promising.

Anybody else running? What's your opinions?

The GUI changes when you maximize it in Windows Vista or 7.

The tabs become illegible and too dark.

Be sure to provide feedback on anything!

I planned to use it when the RC version came out. According to the sources Opera is still faster than FF 4.0b. However, I like the new GUI change and because of that I might try the beta. But I am using some extensions which i rely on daily and I can't risk that.

How do you get the tabs to align with the orange button?

    Firefox does this:
    wrongg.jpg

I want it to do this:
    righto.jpg

See how the tabs are flush with the top of the screen. I think lifehacker did an article on it...

I still have a blue title bar at the top :( Probably down to using Windows Classic skin...

No qualms with anything major so far.

It would be nice if F6 would automatically highlight the URL bar, and if the Google Search bar was replaced with room for some bookmarks, however this is easily changed.... I just don't have the energy and wish it was done for me :(

I just installed it and I am loving it. I get more screen space and it looks awesome.

I will bitch about it sooner or later but right now, I love it.

Is it better than the newest non-beta version?

I am using the Beta version.

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:2.0b1) Gecko/20100630 Firefox/4.0b1

I added the menu bar from view and now it looks more like it. It's like fullscreen view with more controls.

Holy Opera copy! It looks exactly the same except with an orange button instead of red!

Are there any notable performance improvements? I won't switch to that unless its faster as the gui seems meh.

It's faster than the the stable versions on win7.

I know what you mean. I also have a couple of extensions which I use and don't want to lose at the moment.

Giving it a go, seems nice so far. Just wondering where are the Minimize, Restore, and Close buttons are.

What the hell, i'll give it a shot. Hopefully it's faster, 3 is pretty slow.

I'm using it. I didn't like the new interface (mainly because there aren't close/minimize/maximize buttons in the upper right corner by default.

So... I switched back to the older interface with the menu bar and everything. Still Firefox 4 though

I don't need any of that extra bullshit. So long as I have adblock plus it's all good.

I use that menu constantly. What does the day and age have to do with whether or not you need that menu? It is still in most all windows software.
