Welcome to the first Friday Edition of the Film Discussion Thread! This week's film is the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp biopic, Ed Wood. This movie is great for its number of one liners that seem to come one after another, and is hard to turn away from in fear of missing one of Depp's many great facial gestures.

When Martin Landau won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, he was upset that he was cut off during his speech. However he thought highly of a journalist that said, "the award goes to Martin Landau, but its shadow goes to Lugosi."

This film is also notable for the fact that it's before Johnny Depp was overused in films. Making it somewhat unique for its time. The film features an all star cast, Bill Murphy, Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette, and well known to audiences but little known by name, Jeffery Jones.
