After a controversial season for Auburn, 4 ex-football players have admitted to receiving cash while playing at Auburn and from other schools as well, while being recruited. This comes only 2 months after Auburn's BCS championship win, and highly controversial season stemming from the investigation on Cam Newton.
On Wednesday night, an HBO Real Sports special will detail stories by four former Auburn players who say they were paid during their time at Auburn. All of the players were recruited and played under Tommy Tuberville -- Stanley McClover (2003-05), Troy Reddick (2002-05), Chaz Ramsey (2007) and Raven Gray (2008).

McClover said he once received $4,000 after collecting four sacks against Alabama. He also said he received sexual favors at Ohio State during the recruiting process. McClover initially committed to Ohio State, but said he switched to Auburn after receiving money.
"Somebody came to me, I don't even know this person and he was like, 'we would love for you to come to LSU and he gave me a handshake and it had five hundred dollars in there," McClover said in the HBO special, an advance copy of which was obtained by Sports by Brooks. "That's called a money handshake ... I grabbed it and I'm like, 'wow,' hell I thought ten dollars was a lot of money back then."

Makes me wish I was a badass athlete. :(
