Trying to jack my refund

I bought a pos printer priced at $315 for a friend because he doesn't have a paypal.
The manager w/e of the company told me they don't have a sealed box in stock, but that they have the same printer in an unsealed box in mint condition, never before used but that the box was opened.
He said he was gonna get me a $60 refund after purchased and I was like, "ighhhhttt."
I check my statement it says -$50. WDF happened to the $10!?!?!
