Help installing Ubuntu 11.04

Alright, so I burned ubuntu on a CD, popped it in and booted. Halfway of the installation I got an error and was forced to quit.
So I burned the .iso on a USB flash with the utlity suggested on ubuntu.com and booted from it, I got,
"Missing operating system.

What do I do from now? Win7 got wiped and I would like to install Ubuntu.

I got off my mac and booted a PC.
Installed trust ol' "Imageburn" and burned the .iso to a CD without any problems.
Popped it in and currently installing.
