The Prestige~ (2006)

Director:
Christopher Nolan

Cast:
Christian (I'm Batman) Bale
Hugh (I'm Wolverine) Jackman
David (Fucking) Bowie
Michael (Alfred) Caine
& Scarlett (Black Widow) Johansson

Plot/Premise:
Based on the 95' book of the same name, 'The Prestige' follows the lives of two competing magicians in the style of revenge and one-ups manship. Clearly out for blood almost from the beginning, we see the 'magic' of each magician to be revealed as either a decoy or science (no spoilers here). A stand out story is well marked by the use of David Bowie as the brilliant Nikolas Tesla, who is used as a plot devise to add a kind of science fiction element to the story, and further Jackman's revenge.

Watched this a couple of weeks ago, and I was very impressed! I really enjoyed the whole thing, it was a great storyline and the ideas behind it all were interesting. I especially liked the ending, which really took me by surprise. All good stuff, and definitely worth a watch.

To true! I'm excited to see what project he attaches himself to after the next Batman. Not that I'm not excited to see the next Batman, but he could really do anything after that. Sky's the limit.
