General Info:
Director Irvin Kershner helms another Lucas story into the fictional universe of Star Wars! Second to be released, but fifth in the series, Empire is often considered one of the best movies in cinema history. Much like Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms", this movie is as Dante from "Clerks" put it, 'A series of down endings'. Nothing seems to go right from start to finish for the good guys. From their loss of Hoth base, to Han being frozen in carbonite and Luke getting his hand cut off and finding out his dad is alive and basically Himmler to the universe's Hitler, yeah, down endings...
Speaking of down endings, it seems Star Wars can't have a happy ending (from a outside, production stand point). Lucas, in a desperate bid for more money, more the time, continuously updates these films, adding new layers of CGI, deleted scenes, and "New, Remastered, In HD, With Digital Sound, Blah, blah, blah!"... The only true question left about the Star Wars universe is this, "Is it okay for the creator to rape his own franchise to death if he in fact created it?" The answer is 'No'.
