Hope I'm not the only person here who does. Some of my favorites are:
Albert Ayler, Rabih Abou-Khalil, Bill Evens, Moondog, Christian Scott, Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Louis Moholo, William Parker, Pharoah Sanders, and Sonny Sharrock
I just want to find music that will allow me to expand my guitar skills. If it means learning a new chord, new scale, new time rhythm, I'm all up for it
EDIT: I will view the link in 20 mins
I like free jazz and fusion the best, although it is all good. I tend to just listen to an internet radio station for backround music but I specifically like Ornette Coleman and Charles Mingus.
Sun Ra, motherfucker.
Stan Getz. of course Miles Davis, especially Bitches Brew and Kind Of Blue,
EVERYTHING Coltrane's ever done....
I play the saxophone.
Cannonball Adderly, John Coltrane, Micheal Breker, David Leibman, Wayne Shorter, Sonny Stitt, Eric Dolphy, Ornette Coleman, Archie Shepp, Albert Ayler, Pharoh Sanders, Frank Zappa, Sonny Sharrock, Jaco Pastorius, Stanely Clarke, Charles Mingus, Duke Ellington, Elvin Jones, Buddy Rich, McCoy Tyner, Sun Ra, Paul Chambers, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Art Tatum, Bill Evans, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillseppie, Giseppie Logan, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Don Cherry, Clifford Brown, Wynton Marsalis, Freddie Hubbard, Tony Williams, Alan Holdsworth, Brooker Little, George Duke, John McGluaghin, Billy Cobham, Larry Young, Jimmy Smith....
I used to exclusively play saxophone for quite a few years, during this time I solely listened to jazz. After awhile I got burned out, now I only listen to jazz on occasion. If I had to choose one jazz musician to listen to though, it'd be Charlie Parker.

If there were some awesome jazz guitar "riffs" I'd blow a load in my pants
Haha you can't expect Jazz to be Rock bro. That said I've always thought Sonny Sharrock was an excellent guitar player.

I strongly disagree with this statement, but ok.
