So I just got an Android phone...now what?

Yesterday I signed on with sprint for their $70 a month unlimited everything plan, and got a Samsung Intercept. It's not the greatest phone, it has it's flaws, but so does every phone. So, I'm just wondering.. what do I do now? I don't know much about rooting, but am curious. What are some sweet apps I can get? Are there any neat tricks to the Android OS? Where do I go from here if I want to get the best out of my new phone?

I doubt you could much with it. I think you could root it but after that... I dunno maybe make it some kind of hotspot etc.

If it's android 2.1 then you can root it and get a whole bunch of cool stuff. One of them is the APP killer to free up memory. Overclocking roms and the list goes on and on. If you have 2.2, your SOL for now.
