Quantity q of skateboards sold depends on selling price p in dollars so q=f(p). It is given that f(140)=15000 and f'(140)=-100.

The total revenue R earned from the sale of skateboards is given by R=pq.

Find dR/dp |p=140


I can't for the fucking life of me figure out how to do this

I took another look at it and I think I got it.

dR/dp = R' = p'q

q = f(p)
p' = f'(p)

so, R' = f'(p) f(p) = (-100)(15000) = -1500000

Edit: The magnitude of the number seems really big, but it's not my homework

The question is saying find the rate of revenue when f(140)=15000 and f'(140)=-100.

f(p) is the relationship between price and units sold.
f''(p) is the _rate_ at which the units are sold. (the first derivative

Revene = 15000*140 = 2100000

That's all i understood. Is there some useful data in the Q that you missed?
