Trying to track down a documentary

I'm trying to find out the title of this documentary on domestic abuse based on what I remember of the trailer. I'm hoping you guys can help me.

From what I remember:
The film came out a couple years ago (2006-2009)
Most, if not all the audio was taken from a secret audio diary a woman kept.
Her husband was abusing her, possibly killed her.
This happened around the seventies, I believe.
The trailer used extensive use of family photos.
They appeared to be the picture perfect American family.

Hopefully one of you out there can help my search. It grabbed my interest, I guess just not enough for me to see it right away.

Dude that sounds like a hell of a lot of cases of domestic violence. Can you be more specific?

At the moment, no. That's all I can remember of it. It's been about two years since I saw the trailer. It just popped in my head and that's what I recall from it.

Sounds like a new age anne frank kind of thing. I'd also like to see it if it's found.

Anne Frank was a lesbian sack of shit who got famous based on lies. Nobody in her family was murdered by the nazis. The fact her name is even famous is ridiculous. Her diary is a proven forgery.

I call your allegations and raise you science:

Anyways, this thread isn't about Anne Frank :o

It appears we have come to an impasse between science and literary criticism.

The problem with literary criticism here is that they seemed to have forgotten to take into account the fact that Anne Frank was a kid with a diary. You can't expect a kid going through tough times to not use exaggerations or to not try to make things more optimistic. Her diary isn't meant to be read as "This is what happened." It's more of a "This is what it was like" type of thing.

The closest thing i could find to what you're describing is Telling Amy's Story. It's still seems pretty different though. So watch that one instead. :D

Only on this site will a topic about domestic abuse get derailed into Anne Frank conspiracy theories.

Well I'm sure she wrote some of it but the vast majority of it is a forgery. Did you know not one family member of hers was murdered by the nazis? Yet it's seen as a bible for the holohoax. That "science" you speak of is completely biased because if you said it was a fraud the Jews would crucify you.

Of course they weren't murdered. They died of disease due to poor conditions at the concentration camps. I don't care much for the Holocaust either way, but in the case of the Diary, my support goes to whichever side provides the most convincing proof. So far, the evidence I've seen supporting the legitimacy of the Diary is much more convincing. And don't say the science is full of bias when the 'proof' given otherwise has its own biases. No argument, scientific or not, is completely free of bias.

The disease was the fault of the allies and a side effect of war:facepalm: There is definite evidence that the diary was fucked with to increase sales and sympathy. My point is the patron kike of the holohoax was nothing special and dosnt deserve her fame.

So true, my friend. Mention any minority and someone (*cough*Chester*cough*) will jump right on it for their own agenda.

Just trying to find the name of a film here, not whether a book I didn't give a shit about in 8th grade is fact or fiction.
