Two things i just noticed:
Guests can post pictures and I don't see a "ban" button for them. Guests should be restricted to text and nothing else if we want to make them sign up (plus they could spam the shit out of us with pictures if they wanted to). Also if guest spamming occurs we need to be able to ban these little fuckers if a global mod or an admin isn't online.
I think we should not restrict guests unless something actually happens.
Are any of these guest posts really made by guests? Most of them are just registered users like us.
I think we should allow them to make threads, that way they can ask questions. Asking questions and getting decent answers is what entices people to register, not limiting the fuck out of their privileges.
I think the restrictions are good to encourage people to register. I also think that if we make the threads available then they should only be allowed to make threads in certain forums or else if someone (zoklet or one of our raid victims) decides to raid us, we could get pretty fucked. Maybe they can just be restricted to making threads in H&S.
This is as far as I'd go for making threads. We're taking a lot of risks with anything more.
