Anybody know anything about this?

I was downloading a keygen torrent for ESET Nod32 so I could update it. When my download finished I installed my new version of Nod32 and then opened the "keygen" to get a username and pw and then Spyware Doctor popped up with it's detections of spyware and a keylogger named application.ardamax.keylogger

I now have my laptop disconnected running a full scan with SD. Anything else I should do?

There is usually a folder where the log files are kept. Google may yield some results. Best advice: Download loads of different anti-spyware/malwars scaners (MalwareBytes is a great one) and run in safe mode. Might work. Format for peace of mind though.

I actually think I have a copy of Ardamax if anyone wants it.

Yeah OP, it's a Keylogger which will log your keystrokes and email them to someone. Format your shit, I'm not even joking.

^^^^ If he tells you to format, you should probably do it.

Also, why pirate something that's available for free? Avast, Microsoft Security Essentials and Avira are only three examples of good free realtime malware protection suites.

    What's that supposed to mean?

Keygens are terrible, there are SO many untrustworthy ones out there. Google for keygens and you'll find yourself swamped with shit in minutes. Personally I'd only download straight from the source - IE I'd pick a torrent which is on a trusted site which comes with the keygen already packed.

    Haha, I see :)

OP, why are you logging onto Totse when your computer has been keylogged? You shouldn't be logging into anything

I'm posting from my iPod. I've been scanning with SD and Malwarebytes all day and night lol

I don't think I'm gonna format bcus I never have b4 and I'm scared I might fuck something up.

As far as AV I think I'm gonna switch to Avira.. Nod is obviously too much for me to keep updated.

LOL if your AV or Maleware software detects it and can remove it there is no need to reformat. That's going a little overboard and would make such programs useless. Keygens are no more dangerous than a trojan in the grand scheme of things they almost always both go hand-in-hand. By the time you detected it though it would probably be a safer be to change all your passwords once its removed.
