What do you think about post count, and how it affects shit around here?
Does it make you post more, or post more bullshit?
Personally I don't care whether it's there or not, but I've seen forums work great without it, just as well as having it there. Not sure if it really has any true bearing on how a forum turns out, but eh - discussion FTW.

I don't care. I use it as a marker. I set a target for a week and try to reach that point, plus it helps me to slow myself when I go berserk
So, it odes have its pro and cons but in the end you can't get rid of it, plus it's a great incentive and if used correctly makes things easier for others.
Also, it's not like you can just go crazy and post random shit here and there without getting fucked. Although I do flood Totse some times but it's always with thread. So, if some user goes like omfg 4char in this and 10 char in that thread, he will have to deal with the mods.
Anyway, the point is, someone users thing it's important but the users with high post count don't really care that much.
I could care less about postcount and mine isn't very high. This neither encourages or discourages me to post more. I post when I feel like it but try not to make a thread unless I think it will bring something to the table.
