Here in Canada, we have a long running tradition of not letting the religious right or conservative politicians fuck with our media. You can buy hardcore porn at the gas station, and show full vag on basic cable, the song 'Crazy Bitch" by Buckcherry includes the word fuck when played on the air.
Unfortunately liberal faggots seem to have the ear of government. Recently, in an almost eerily similar incident to the attempts to remove the word "nigger" from Mark Twains works, the song "Money for Nothing", by Dire Straits, was subject to government cencorship;

Radio bans have, over the years, done much to propel records to the upper reaches of the charts and public consciousness -- just ask Frankie Goes to Hollywood and The Sex Pistols. But the crucial thing is that they're done shortly after the band's record has been released.
Not so in Canada where Dire Straits' 25-year-old track, 'Money For Nothing', has been ordered to be re-edited if it is to grace the airwaves again. Billboard.com reports that the controversy started after a listener to Newfoundland's classic rock station, OZ FM, objected to the use of the word "faggot" in the song when it was broadcast on 1 February last year.
The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC) has ruled that 'Money For Nothing' is to be re-edited with the offending word removed.
A press release from the CBSC reads, "Like other racially driven words in the English language, 'faggot' is one that, even if entirely or marginally acceptable in earlier days, is no longer so. The Panel finds that it has fallen into the category of unacceptable designations on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status or physical or mental disability."
The episode has echoes of the BBC's 2007 attempt to ban the Pogues' 'Fairytale Of New York' across the British airwaves thanks to its use of the words "faggot" and "slut." The decision was later reversed following a public outcry.
This is bullshit of the highest order, it means that radio stations in Canada will be forced to play the sanitized "Wal Mart" version of the song.
The offense is not so much in the act, it is one word, in one song. But the reasons behind it and the preferential treatment given to a vocal minority put this act by a governmental agency in the realm of faggotry so pure if you smoked it your dick would fall off.
If the religious right approaches the CBSC and demands that say, "Highway to Hell" be censored because it is offensive to their views, they would hear the laughter all the way back to the church. But one single offended faggot(I suspect big bear), makes a scene, and with the help of several more liberal faggots, censors every radio station in Canada. And because it was successful, other offended and butthurt fuckdicks now have a precedent to cite when they go to the CBSC to whine about whatever bullshit song is pissing them off. Fine, fuck the lyrics altogether, bust out the string section, and we'll all listen to "muzak" versions of songs so no one gets pissed off.
The other problem is the reason given for the word faggot not being offensive for the last 25 years. It was just as offensive 25 years ago when the song was made, thats why there was a sanitized version made right from the start, when Dire Straits played at Live Aid they self censored and used the word "buddy" instead. To say that for some reason society has changed to the degree that a word that was offensive 25 years ago is for some reason so offensive today that it needs to be censored is bullshit.
I'm pretty pissed off, but a simple letter to the CBSC would be useless, any feedback and ideas would be appreciated.

Cencorship; oops, could someone fix that, or hell, whatever, it's "the Canadian spelling'

Here's a good song that the Liberalfags should listen to...and do
Also trying to censor twains work? It is a product of it's time and also could be argued a historical document.
Also this great publicity for Dire Straits..
Interesting point of view, in a country where so much would be censored, what would be one more thing? I guess it is taken for granted in western countries that censorship is not acceptable, and we feel offended when it happens.
Mind Police are there for you when you let yourself down, and they already know what you need, and they already know when you'll need it. Mind Police will take care of everything for you so that you don't have to.
Soon you will think just like them, and that's a good thing, because right now you just can't think for yourselves. You need somebody else to live your life for you, and that's for your own good, and that's for your own welfare.
Mind Police are there to help you throughout your life.
Should rap music be banned from the radio due to the mysogony in it?
It's spelled "censorship," brah
What a dangerous way to think.
