As is widely known the united states has more people in prison than most other countries. Seeing as how they are being housed on the tax payers dollar why shouldn't we put them to use? I propose setting up work camps for criminals and forcing them to do hard labor for however long the sentence is.
First this could actually help get things accomplished with a vast and cheap labor force. I also believe that it would cut down on prison violence a great deal. As the saying gos idol hands are the devils play thing. Well don't let them sit idly around and live in comfort. In order to truly pay their debt to society they should have to work and work hard.I they act disruptive or reuse to work then they should receive beatings and limitations on food. I'm tired of hearing about inmates having rights. They threw those rights away when they chose to commit crimes.
For first time offenders this may even help to reform their behavior. Instead of sitting around and learning from other career criminals and joining gangs you make them work day and night. The criminal is a dreg on society and this seems to be an easy way to give them some use. I would also advocate doing this in juvenile prisons as well. Bring back hard labor for inmates.

Capitalism and multiculturalism are the major causes of crime imo.
Humans have been trying to stop crime since the dawn of the agricultural era and the advent of villages. So far nothing has worked, any ideas? I mean insofar as identifying and attacking the causes. Of course I know you are sharp enough to realize there are some criminals who are going to exist no matter what.
I concur with your concerns about the type of labor. Perhaps we could use the beauty of capitalism and put them to work as laborers for industry and revive the domestic manufacturing sector. If you limited anyone company to just 5% prison labor force it would mean a 5% reduction in the cost to manufacturer in the U.S. rather than overseas. This would have to be coupled with tariff reform of course to be effective.
Because there is no crime in communist nations.
They lose their right to be treated as human beings when they decide to become criminals. Tell me does the average rapist or murder treat others like humans? No they dont so why should they deserve such rights? I propose a system of work farms and detention facilities like China's Laogai facilities or the soviet gulags.
All nations and all systems will have crime but crime rates are significantly lower in Socialist countries. Even semi socialist countries like Holland can show you that. Multiculturalism is also a huge factor since the races can never function together and because of the dead morals among niggers and beaners.
This has no relevancy to this thread. States Sanchez.
ugh. good point I may be too much of a compassionate person
It is relevant in that we are discussing the use of prisoners for labor. Prisoners are created when a person commits a crime. In response to your OP dr rocker asked the question if it would not be better to address the cause of crime instead of "capitalizing" on it.
To which you replied as follows:
Since you feel that Capitalism is one of the major contributing factors in the problem you are trying to do damage control on, crime, it is obvious that you are of the opinion the the problem you are discussing a solution for in your OP, crime, would be more manageable under communism.
In most communistic nations certain "criminals" are never charged or tried, they are sentenced. If no charges are filed then no crime was committed. That alone would reduce the crime rate right?
I was talking about rolfs comment when I said it was irrelevant not everyone elses the one I quoted below.
You are right that a lot of criminals in these countries aren't given trials but do all criminals deserve trial? Such as ones when the guilt is obvious or they have confessed.
Thanks for clearing that up.
The reason everyone deserves a trial is called due process of law. It is one of the cornerstones of freedom. If you don't give everyone a fair trial then the government can simply declare anyone who does not agree with them a criminal and silence them.
What about in a case where the guilt is obvious like OJ Simpson or the guy in Tuscon? Trials like that are just a waste of time and money imo.
I view it the opposite way. Better to hang 100 innocent men then to let one guilty man go. Nature and childbirth ensure that the innocent ones can be replaced. Their deaths aren't usually a great loss to mankind.
