That's right, and right now I'm torn between a two choices.
I require something 27-30" or bigger that displays something higher than HD seeing as I do quite a bit of audio production, and like to be able to see what I'm doing without needing multiple monitors.
So far I've been looking at the discontinued 30" Apple Cinema Display, which seems perfectly adequate, yet draws quite a bit of power. The other is the dell U2711 which received rave reviews and has a decent resolution, yet doesn't seem to be very cost-effective compared to the price of the apple.

Any ideas as to which one I should get, or do you guys have some other suggestions ?
also, inb4 cnet sucks.

Dell actually does a pretty good job when it comes to monitors, however I've never owned one so I can't really say. Plus I hate Apple and would never buy anything past their iPod so that's my vote.
a fraction of your price.
and still gets the job done
you're welcome
