This sucks for me because my job requires me to sit for many hours a day. I will take time to walk around as much as possible when not sitting. Thanks for this informatibe article. It has also helped explain to me the possible health issues of people I know.
Was anyone else more interested in the design of the article? Good info though. Remember though that we hunted wooly mammoth thousands of years ago and our bodies probably adapt somewhat over time.

Same here, even if i sit down to watch a movie or play some game on the computer it just feels wrong for some reason.
Frequent breaks and a speedy walk atleast once a day helps but not always possible for people that have a job that requires them sitting alot.
Allegedly, going to the gym afterwards makes no difference.
