How do I get an activation key for a program like SMAC or different video games that've been torrented?
I realize that I am retarded for not having learned this before...:facepalm:

    Usually the files are included with the torrent contents or it's pre cracked.

    It's been a long time since I've done any of this but serials.ws is were i used to get my stuff.
    EDIT: use the %age ratings to weed out malware and bullshit.

    If you download SMAC from a decent place then it should already have the crack inside it. Don't go Googling around for cracks and keygens though because that will get your computer infected with something. Instead, I'd search around TPB, Demonoid or Warez.bb for a crack/keygen to your selected software. If you can't find one, then ask for one in the forums there. Or you could even try asking for one here :)

    I found the activation key for it in the torrent file, my bad, i didn't read through enough. But i was curious anyway. I remember my friend getting authentication codes from some program he dl on his macbook for games and apps. Thanks for answering.

    Yeah, sometimes it is hard to find but its usually there. I look at the comments box of the torrent to see if anyone has complained or if it works for them before I download it.

    Avast Free is awesome, it works totally fine. You don't even need real info when signing up for the free license.

    I agree, Im using Avast Free at the mo and it is brilliant. Better than AVG any day of the week and it updates itself automatically.
