"Goddamn, this how RPG intro's should be. Dramatic instrumental opening theme. Really slick state-of-the-art animation sequences. Brilliant mountain scenery. Random characters slashing stuff, add some flames here and there... Yep, can't get any better."
System Shock 2 - The coolant tubes by Eric Brosius
Yep, although the first one I like more just because I like the game. The Hong Kong soundtracks from DX are the only really outstanding ones in the game, imho. The rest are good, but nothing special.
SS2 on the other hand had PERFECT soundtracks. I mean... Wow. This one still sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it:
Absolutely perfect atmosphere for the game. Isolation, helplessness, awareness of a superior force out there to get you.

I'd go for this:
Though the choice is probably strongly affected by my general love of the game.

It sounds fun, I think I should check it out.
I'm not a particular fan of NIN, but I always think of Quake when I hear this song.
