I killed my multimeter
My options are:

1) Buy another $80 true RMS Cap/Volt/Amp/Ohm/Hz meter.

2) Buy this amazing L/C meter and a cheapo volt/ohm/ammeter and use my digital oscilloscope for true RMS voltage and frequency readings.

^ this. Always go for what you know is better. If it costs more as long as it is worth what you're paying I don't see why not.

Option 2. Multimeters get killed by faulty circuits / settings too easely to buy expensive ones, unless you need a high quality one for your job. In which case your employer should pay or it should be tax deductible.
