PC/104 stack programming

Does anyone know how to program one of these ? my friend is working on an oil rig and its having troubles exeuting command lines - when you start the application program something goes wrong
and it reboots
it talks over the power lines (240vAC) to the platform using Bell202 modems
the comms are good so no problem there

this is a newer version of the system that is on the seabed
if you look down the page there is a little tube with connectors
the Pc104 is in that
