I'm mobile towards boston at the moment, so forgive the lack of information.

These guys have some problems on their hands right now.

OWS
We got a snow storm coming.
Bloomberg is confiscating their generators.
Nobody there is prepared for this cold front of snow in October.

Occupy Oakland
Iraq war veteran Scott Olsen was critically injured by a incoming tear gas container deployed by Oakland police.

THINK TANK TIME!

If you guys could possibly brainstorm ways to help these peaceful protestors internet-side.

DDOS, remote hacks, anything.

I'll be back in a couple of hours.

I'm not normally a political person, but lets get these protesters some help.

If that's what you want to do I'm sure advertising it isn't a good idea. I don't think it would be productive for the protest either.

What are other ways one could help the protestors. Is there a place where you can send blankets or other items?

I am happy out capitalist society can spare so much to help those doing absolutly nothing to try and help us. Capitalism must sure generate lots of spare for these people to survive on nothing.

lol are you one of those morons who thinks they're protesting capitalism? What we have now is not capitalism, private institutions are not bailed out with public funds in a capitalist system.

I 100% support the OWS protesters in their belief the political and economic system is rigged to benefit a select few at the detriment of the majority.

What even is this protest all about? I keep hearing about it but I haven't got a clue what it's for - anyone?

No, what we live in for the most part is socialist democracies. I would say they are prostesting as they are bitter and jealous. The companies that have been bailed out are nothing more than the pension funds of the future. The whole system is rigged towards control. Shouting about a few Chief exectives bonuses is not going to change this.

Not every person's motivation is the same, but the bulk of them are protesting an economic and social system that supports the rich at the detriment to the poor. The bank bailouts and wars have become a main focus, along with economic inequality (such as CEOs receiving multi-million dollar bonuses while their workers are paid $7/hour), among others.

I've been finding the bulk of my information on reddit:

There's also the Declaration of the occupation of New York and principles of solidarity. Also check out occupywallst.org.
